Payment Methods

When you request a chargeable service, such as viewing full transcribed details for an individual of household, or viewing a census image for the first time, you will be prompted to select a payment method.  You can pay be credit card on line, or purchase a voucher from a local library.

Payment by Credit Card.

You can use this method straight away - simply enter your credit or debit card details on the payment screen.
You will be charged £5.00 for 500 1901 credits.
Your 500 credits will be valid for 7 days from date of purchase.  After that time your outstanding credits will expire.
You are able to view how many credits you have left at any time by clicking My Account from the left hand menu – you need to be signed into the site to do this.

The charge will appear on your credit card statement under ‘Genes Reunited Records’.
We ask you for an email and password when you buy credits.  This is so that you can sign in easily to the site next time you visit the site.  Information about signing in.

Payment by Voucher.


You can purchase a voucher for £5.00 from any authorised supplier.

You activate your voucher by entering your voucher number and password when prompted on the voucher page.  You can activate your voucher any time before the expiry date printed on the back of your voucher.  Once activated your voucher gives you 500 credits and is valid for 6 months.

You are able to view the number of credits you have left at any time by going to My Account in the menu.  To go to My Account page you must be signed in. Information about signing in
