Bulk Voucher Purchase Accounts

This page can be printed, using the print option from your browser

1. These Terms and Conditions, which supplement the 1901 Census Service Agreement (the "User Ts and Cs"), govern the bulk purchase of Vouchers by outlets such as libraries, genealogical societies and commercial operations. Words and phrases here bear the same meaning as in the User Ts and Cs; this document should be read together with the User Ts and Cs.

2. To avoid excessive administration, we have a minimum purchase requirement of £100-worth of Vouchers. Vouchers are available in denominations of £5.

3. Bulk Voucher purchases may be made by printing the Application Form and sending it with your payment to 1901 Census Vouchers, 2 Oxted Chambers, 185-187 Station Road East, Oxted, Surrey. RH80QE.

4. Vouchers may be purchased for re-sale. To protect the interests of Users, resellers may only supply them with Vouchers in their individual protective sleeves, which ensures that the password reveal strip has not been damaged or tampered with.

5. We aim to dispatch all bulk orders of Vouchers within 5 working days of receipt of order, but you should allow up to 30 days for delivery. lf you do not receive your order within this period, please contact us at 1901 Census Vouchers, 2 Oxted Chambers, 185-187 Station Road East, Oxted, Surrey. RH80QE.

6. The only other right of return you have is for Vouchers that we have supplied to you that are defective. If defective Vouchers are returned to us, we will issue a full refund up to the value you paid for the Voucher or, if requested, provide replacements. Vouchers are defective if the user name/password combination on them does not work when correctly entered on the 1901 Census Service, or if the user name/password have been obliterated in some way prior to their delivery to you.

7. A return of a Voucher under Clause 6 above must be completed before one month after any Expiry Date of First Use that appears on it. Please package the Vouchers securely. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning Vouchers, unless we delivered the Vouchers are shown to be defective.

8. Please note that where a User purchases a Voucher from you, then it is you (not us) who will have to deal with rights of cancellation the User may have under the under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, other applicable legislation. You must make clear to the User that the right of cancellation (if any), and any other contractual and consumer law issues he/she may have, is exercisable against you, and not us; see Clause 5 of 1901 Census Service Agreement for how we inform Users of this ourselves.
