Search for a person: Advanced
With our Advanced Person search facility, you can narrow down your search for an individual. Specify criteria such as marital state, occupation, gender and age. You may further narrow your search to find only heads of families or those individuals on a vessel on census night.
Supply only search criteria you know, if you are unsure leave the field blank (You MUST enter EITHER a Last Name OR a First Name together with Age and Where Born). Use wildcard characters where you are not sure of the exact spelling (or where the recorded spelling may differ). To represent one or more characters use an asterisk ( * ), to represent a single character, use underscore ( _ ).
